Description
: The valley of flowers national park is also known as Bhyundar Valley. This is
a
twenty
kms climb from Govindghat and has a profusion of wild flowers (over 300
species). Totally 87 sqkms
of wild beauty. Best time to see the wild profusion is in July/August but it can
also be a
hazardous
time because of the rains and landslides. Some of the flowers species that can
be spotted are
primula,
saxifrage, red potentillas, geraniums, asters, gentians, anemones,
delphiniums, blue corydalis,
wild
roses. The valley is enclosed by the peaks of nar parbat, nilgiri parbat,
rataban, ghori
parbat.
